Yacht charter in Italy: everything you need to know
A yacht charter in Italy means having some of the most beautiful coastlines in the Mediterranean within easy reach. In just a few miles you pass from volcanic islands to villages clinging to the sea, from the granite coves of Sardinia to the elegant harbours of the Riviera. It is a country made to be discovered from the water, one stretch of coast at a time.
The most sailed areas range from the Amalfi Coast to Sardinia, from Sicily and its islands to Liguria and the Tuscan Archipelago. VerdeBlu selects the crewed yacht best suited to the area, the season and the way you like to cruise, building every proposal to measure and with the utmost discretion.
The right yacht
A yacht rental in Italy can range from a catamaran for the family to a superyacht with full crew, and VerdeBlu selects the vessel best suited to your style of cruising.
Best Time
From May to October the climate is ideal, with warm waters and steady winds that make cruising a pleasure along all the Italian coasts.
Seasonality
June and September offer the best balance of climate, calm seas and less crowded harbours along the Italian coasts.

What’s included in a VerdeBlu charter
Indicative cruising costs
Fuel costs for motor yachts depend on the type of engines installed and their consumption, which varies from one vessel to another. Weather and cruising conditions can also significantly affect consumption.
For sailing yachts, fuel costs are generally lower, as the main propulsion is provided by the wind acting on the sails. The engine is used mainly for harbour manoeuvres or when wind conditions are insufficient.
Documents and regulations
The activity is governed by Article 2 of Legislative Decree no. 171 of 18 July 2005, the Code of Recreational Boating implementing Directive 2003/44/EC, in accordance with Article 6 of Law no. 172 of 8 July 2003.
The measure came into force on 15 September 2005 and is currently updated with the amendments published up to 9 May 2026.
Crew and tailored services
The crew is carefully selected and highly qualified, attending to every aspect of navigation and life on board with professionalism and discretion. Ashore, we can arrange transfers, car rental, restaurant reservations and experiences, designed around the preferences you indicate at the time of booking.

Why choose Italy for your next charter
Italy packs into a few miles a variety that elsewhere would require entire crossings. One morning you are at anchor beneath the Faraglioni of Capri, the next in a granite cove of Sardinia or in front of a village of the Cinque Terre. Every coast has its own character, its cuisine and its harbours.
A yacht charter in Italy offers the colours of the Amalfi Coast, the waters of Sardinia and the volcanoes of the Aeolian Islands. VerdeBlu selects the vessel best suited to your idea of a cruise, with respect for the sea and the marine protected areas, so that the beauty of these places remains intact.
