Yacht charter in Santa Margherita: everything you need to know
A yacht charter from Santa Margherita Ligure means setting off from the elegant heart of the Gulf of Tigullio. The town, with its Art Nouveau villas and its seafront promenade, is a few minutes from Portofino and from the bay of San Fruttuoso, reachable only on foot or by boat. It is one of the most convenient and refined bases on the eastern Ligurian riviera.
From Santa Margherita you reach within minutes Portofino, San Fruttuoso and Camogli, while to the south opens the rest of Liguria, from the Cinque Terre to the Gulf of Poets. VerdeBlu selects the crewed yacht best suited to the area, the season and the way you like to cruise, building every proposal to measure and with the utmost discretion.

Indicative cruising costs
Fuel costs for motor yachts depend on the type of engines installed and their consumption, which varies from one vessel to another. Weather and cruising conditions can also significantly affect consumption.
For sailing yachts, fuel costs are generally lower, as the main propulsion is provided by the wind acting on the sails. The engine is used mainly for harbour manoeuvres or when wind conditions are insufficient.
Documents and regulations
The activity is governed by Article 2 of Legislative Decree no. 171 of 18 July 2005, the Code of Recreational Boating implementing Directive 2003/44/EC, in accordance with Article 6 of Law no. 172 of 8 July 2003.
The measure came into force on 15 September 2005 and is currently updated with the amendments published up to 9 May 2026.
Crew and tailored services
The crew is carefully selected and highly qualified, attending to every aspect of navigation and life on board with professionalism and discretion. Ashore, we can arrange transfers, car rental, restaurant reservations and experiences, designed around the preferences you indicate at the time of booking.
