“By choosing to rent the Puritan Sailing Yacht, you will financially support its measures for greater environmental sustainability.
In fact, says the Owner, 15% of our charter revenues are donated to initiatives to preserve and protect our marine environment.
This year, thanks to the financial support of our customers, we launched the Blue Regatta, the first plastic-free regatta for classic yachts. In this regatta we managed to completely avoid the use of 6,000 plastic bottles, replace plastic bags and cutlery with marine-friendly alternatives, and encourage more responsible habits with owners and sailors of over 600 yachts.
Puritan, also in 2025, will continue to spread our concept of the Blue Regatta during the Monaco Classic Week and the Spetses Classic Regatta in Greece.
The goal is to save 75,000 plastic bottles per year, by 2027, and ban the use of plastic in classic yacht sporting events! ”

Description Puritan, the Vintage Sailing Yacht, is a piece of yachting history.
Puritan’s history is both thrilling and dynamic. John Alden’s powerful lines are a statement of her seaworthiness. The warm atmosphere, elegance, and charm of her interior are enhanced by her recent refurbishment and light Oregon pine finishing. She is recognised as one of the most important yachts of her time for her pioneering hull, and today brings her guests an unforgettable, luxurious charter experience in timeless style.

Launched in 1930 and designed by famed naval architect John G. Alden, whose designs are preserved at MIT as part of the maritime history of the United States, she is the emblem of the acclaimed American tradition of luxury sailing yachts.
Its lines and appearance satisfy and gratify the desire for beauty and harmony of every lover of classic yachts and the powerful lines of John Alden are a statement of seaworthiness, elegance and charm.

After much history and many owners, in 2015 Puritan was sold to the current owner, a great enthusiast of vintage yachts who already owns another classic schooner, the sailing yacht Orianda.
Puritan, now finally available on the luxury rental and regatta market for vintage sailing yachts, will sail in the Mediterranean Sea for the next two seasons.

Guest Accommodation: Puritan accommodates 6/8 people in 3/4 cabins with private bathroom. 1 master cabin, 2 double cabins with double beds and a Studio cabin with a sofa that can be converted into a double bed or two bunk beds.
All cabins are equipped with their own reversible cycle air conditioning system All bathrooms are beautifully renovated with marble of different essences and personalized gold-plated taps

Crew: Puritanan is led by the experienced Captain Simone Pandolfi (Italian), who has been in the yachting field since 1997 and, since then, has always worked on board sailing yachts collecting excellent feedback from guests and owners. Simone is also Vice President of the International Schooner Association. With him, 6 other members including a talented Chef, Vera Aland (Italian/Russian), who will guide you through gourmet experiences “tailor-made” to your requests but also full of proposals ranging from wonderful tuna and swordfish tartare, Swedish Gravlax carpaccio, to fresh bread and homemade tagliatelle…

In June, July and August 2025 Puritan will sail throughout all Greece based in Spetses (Saronic Gulf) but will also be available in Croatia, Montenegro. Subsequently, on its route to the western Mediterranean will sail towards Sicily, along the western coast of Italy and in the South of France.
